This course will provide you with an understanding of what safeguarding is and the responsibilities you have in safeguarding children. It will also provide you with insight into the different types of abuse and their indicators, as well as the risks around technology and abuse.
You will be introduced to the legislation that underpins safeguarding children in the Health and Social Care Sector, The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), and the role of safeguarding partnerships and professionals.
Finally, you will learn how to respond to suspicions or disclosures of abuse, including how to accurately record and correctly report your concerns.
